I bought a small coop for my illegal chickens two years ago and thought I sealed it well. It rotted apart. Just bought this one and used marine varnish spar polyurethane inside and out. Very well built. I wish I had seen this one first years ago.
It seems my 3 star rating isn’t showing up so I’m posting it with 5. The instructions are terrible and made putting this together frustrating. There were two gaps im not sure if they were a flaw in our coop itself or in the design. We will have to close those up for winter. The large door was not cut properly so it is a pain to open and close, something else we will need to fix on our own. Also the locks are flimsy so will be replacing those as well. I was a bit annoyed as I wasn’t expecting to need to make any renovations to this coop and the whole frustrating process of putting it together wasn’t great. That’s where this 3 star rating comes from. Besides that it is sturdy and comfortable for my chickens so all in all and all right buy esp if you’re willing to renovate a little.
Snap Lock™ Regular Chicken Coop (up to 5 chickens)
This is my second OverEZ Chicken Coop Kit. It is easy to assemble and is the most sturdy coop I have ever bought! We love it and will never buy anything else.
My chickens are loving their new chicken coop!!!
Great product! Would enjoy more vents, perhaps with interior screens. It is important to monitor inside temperature as it seems to absorb heat although under shade, in a covered run.
GREAT COOP. THE RAIN HAS STOP. WE PUT UP THE COOP YESTERDAY. SO FAR SO GOOD. A FEW ISSUES BUT ALL IN ALL EVERYTHING WORKED OUT JUST GREAT.
This is our second OverEz Large Coop, one for me and my chicks and one for my son and his chicks. What an excellent buy! These coops are quality from top to bottom, easy to construct, cozy and safe for chicks, and look great. Customer service has proven exceptional too.
Absolutely perfect for mr four chickens. Providing the ability to change the door latches and hardware so you have configuration options is genius. Thank You
Highly recommend. We looked everywhere and were so glad we choose OverEZ. The coop was easy to put together and much sturdier than other coops we looked at. The customer service is top-notch. Very happy customer here!
We have not received it yet!
My Girls Love it!
Excellent chicken coop, my children love living in it.
Quality seems appropriate for the purpose. I did find the assembly instructions poorly prepared. No instructions provided other than pictures; thus, assembly initially occurred by placing panels in the wrong sides. One of the roof panels arrived warped in the center by several inches. Not sure how this was possible due to the packing? Delivery was very efficient as the truck driver offered to lower the coop to the ground. Once constructed, the coop seems very sound and weather resistant. Time will prove it's actual worth.
