A close cousin to Horizon's Mini Coop, the Horizon Structures™ Mini Coop 2 shares many of the same features but can hold a couple more birds (and more eggs!). Designed for smaller flocks, it is perfect for housing 8-10 chickens. It has a more traditional "house" style and looks great as a standalone structure in the middle of a yard.
The Horizon Structures™ Mini 2 Coop has everything your backyard chickens need to be safe and happily laying eggs. Each of the four nesting boxes is 1' x 1' with 1" x 3" framing in front to keep the nesting material, eggs or chicks in the box, where they belong. Its nesting box is designed as a separate, removable unit that is not permanently attached to the coop. This makes it easy to detach and thoroughly clean. Its hinged, split lid rests on top of the nest box, so there is no need to secure it in place and it won't drop unexpectedly. Just like all Horizon Structures™ nest boxes, you won't have to bend down and reach inside the coop ... simply lift the lid and collect your eggs!
The large screened window on the front allows natural sunlight to brighten the coop interior and includes glass panes on the top and bottom. The lower window panel can be raised from inside the coop to take advantage of the screen and welcome in fresh air. What's more, vinyl coated mesh on the outside of the window keep predators at bay.
A ventilation panel in the Horizon Structures™ Mini 2 Coop allows plenty of fresh air in and its solid wood hinged panel latches securely to keep your chickens warm and dry. A Vinyl-coated wire mesh keeps predators out when the panel is open. It also has a roost bar that is approximately 22" from the floor and 7 1/2" from the back wall/ventilation window.

Mini Coop (Wheelbarrow Style)
Mini Coop & Mini Coop 2 (4 Wheels & Handle)
Quaker Coop & Dutch Coop (4 Wheels with Steering Handle)
Quaker Combo Coop & Super Coop
The Quaker Combo Coop and Super Coop have a similar 4 wheels with steering handle as the above-pictured wheels for the Quaker Coop & Dutch Coop but because they are larger and heavier, the wheels are more heavy duty (sorry, no picture).
Cleaner Coop Tray
With this optional upgrade, your chicken coop includes a hinged access door with latches, removable tray(s) and vinyl coated mesh cage under the roost bars. All chicken coops except the Super Coop have a single tray. The Super Coop has two cleaner trays.
They look like this:
Standard Electrical Package
This optional package gives you 1 light fixture with a 100 watt bulb, a switch/outlet combo with an inside mounting, and an exterior 3-prong plug:
Solar Powered Light
This light fixture comes with a switch and can be upgraded to a operate off a timer. The battery will power the light for 10 hours before it needs to be re-charged.

Heated Roost Bar
Keep your chickens' feet warm while they roost.
Automatic Chicken Door
Basic Automatic Chicken Door
The basic automatic chicken door can be powered with 4 AA batteries or electricity. It allows you to electrically open or close the chicken door manually or set a timer to open and close it automatically at certain times of the day. 110V electrical plug included. Batteries ARE NOT included.
Advanced Automatic Chicken Door
The Advanced Automatic chicken door offers all of the same features as the basic automatic door but it also includes GPS functionality. This allows you to configure your door to your precise location, which means that you can choose to set it for up to 4 hours before/after sunrise and sunset. After configuring it, your chicken coop door will open at sunrise and close at sunset automatically!
Solar Package for Basic or Advanced Automatic Chicken Door
This allows you to run the door off of solar energy instead of batteries or electrical current.

Because all Horizon Structures™ coops are custom made, they typically take approximately 4 weeks to ship (sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit shorter). Please be sure that you read the Special Note About Residential Deliveries in the main product description.
Deliveries are normally made Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm. While it is difficult to give an exact time, Horizon Structures™ can usually tell you if your building will be arriving in the morning or the afternoon.
There are several ways to schedule your delivery:
You can request "delivery as soon as possible" and Horizon Structures™ will contact you a few days prior to delivery to confirm a suitable date and get directions to your property. PLEASE NOTE: This is the default delivery option and unless we hear from you otherwise, this is how delivery will be handled.
You can request a specific date. Sometimes Horizon Structures™ is able to commit shortly after time of order; however, they may call you closer to the requested date to confirm.
If you are having your site prepared, you can leave the delivery date "open" and give us a call when you are ready to schedule. At that time, we can usually arrange delivery within about 7-10 days.
Horizon Structures™ reserves the right to reschedule deliveries due to inclement weather or periods of extended rain in order to avoid endangering our drivers and equipment or damaging your building or property. Please call Horizon Structures™ directly at 1-888-44-SHEDS to reschedule delivery if your ground is soft and you believe their truck and trailer would damage your property or make delivery exceptionally difficult for the driver.
You are responsible for reading emails we may send to you in a timely manner. We cannot be held responsible for emails that we sent that were not read on time or for delays to orders because we have not received a reply. In some cases, we may have no other choice but to use our best judgment if our emails are not answered and we will not be held responsible for orders that are incomplete, incorrect or canceled due to lack of response on your part.
Due to the nature of their products (custom, built-to-order), returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. In most cases, it is not feasible to return pre-built structures. Horizon Structures, LLC will make every reasonable attempt to repair or replace product or compensate customers who are dissatisfied with their purchase.
Customers are expected to notify Horizon Structures, LLC of any issues within 24 hours of receipt of building. Final determination is at the discretion of the owner of Horizon Structures, LLC and shall not exceed the retail value of the structure at time of purchase.
Restocking Fee Policy
Returnable Items are defined as any hardware or accessory purchased separately and not part of a pre-built structure or kit.
Defective Returnable Items will be replaced at no charge. Otherwise, a 20% restocking fee will be charged based on the retail value of the Returnable Item(s) at time of purchase. Customers are expected to notify Horizon Structures, LLC of any defects and return defective items within 30 days.
Our original freight and shipping expenses are not refundable or included in the restocking fee. These fees will be deducted from any return - even if you obtained "free shipping". In other words, shipping is only free for products that customers keep.
All Horizon Structures™ Chicken Coops are custom made and pre-built, meaning there is no assembly required on your part (Note: Chicken Runs ARE NOT pre-built so you do have a minimal amount of effort assembling those). The trucks back up to your prepared site and place the coop precisely where you want it.
Horizon Structures™ uses an F550-type truck. Their trailers range from 24' - 48' in size giving them the flexibility to transport several pre-built coops and a variety of add-ons.
The normal delivery process works like this:
Building arrives at your property
Driver backs up to your prepared site
The trailer is raised, using a hydraulic system, to enable the building to slide off the back.
Using a winch, built in to the trailer, the driver moves the building about 1/3 down the length of the trailer so that the end is resting on the ground.
Next, the driver slowly pulls forward allowing the rest of the building to slide off the trailer and into position.
In the event that the building needs to be aligned or re-positioned, the trailers come equipped with a platform on the back. With the back of the building on the ground and the front resting on this platform, the building can be shifted up to 2' to the left or to the right before being placed completely on the ground.
Finally, all doors and windows are checked to make sure they operate properly and are not stuck or jammed due to the building being off level or any twisting of the building during set-up.
In order to deliver the coop, please ensure that your coop site is accessible:
Please make sure that there is access over a driveway or across relatively level, solid ground to the area you want your coop to be placed.
Provide adequate clearance around any trees, plantings or other structures on the property.
If they can drive straight onto your property, any fence opening or gate needs to be at least 12 feet wide.
Overhead clearance should to be 14'.
50' to 60' minimum drive-away area from the end of the shed after it comes off the end of the trailer. This should be as level as possible from pad site to ground level.
IMPORTANT: If your site does not meet those requirements, Horizon Structures™ still may be able to deliver as long as they know ahead of time to equip the truck with their "Mule Delivery System". Please call us if you are in doubt!
Here's how it works:
If you are at all unsure whether or not the truck and trailer will have suitable access to your property, we ask that you call Horizons Structures™ directly at 1-888-44-SHEDS to discuss the details with their scheduler. You can also email pictures or fax them a diagram (with measurements) of your property showing the layout and features of your site. They are usually able to make a determination about whether or not delivery is feasible or if you should have your structure built on-site.
Please review the Shipping & Returns tab, above, for further information regarding your Horizon Structures™ chicken coop shipment, such as how deliveries are scheduled.
