Is there anything more cute than letting your chickens live in their own little barn? With tons of light and ventilation, your chickens will be very happy in the Horizon Structures™ Dutch Coop.
Designed for larger flocks of up to 18 chickens, the Horizon Structures™ Dutch Coop includes many features that make it comfortable for your flock and easy for you to gather eggs. You don't have to go into the coop to get the eggs ... just lift the panel and reach inside. Its eight roomy nest boxes, which your hens will naturally share, are easily accessible from outside the coop.
The Horizon Structures™ Dutch Coop has a large window on the front that has glass panes at both the top and bottom. You can raise the lower pane from inside the coop to allow fresh air inside through its outer screen - just like you do at home! Vinyl coated wire mesh that is fastened securely to the coop's exterior covers the screened portion of the window, keeping your precious birds safe from predators.
A large 54" wide x 7" high cut-out on the side of the coop allows in even more light and fresh air. Vinyl coated mesh covers the opening and protects the chickens inside the coop from would-be predators. A hinged wood panel with a twist latch allows you to close it tightly during inclement weather.
Two roost bar are included inside your Horizon Structures™ Dutch Coop. The upper roost bar is approximately 33" from the floor and 7" from the wall. The lower roost bar is about 21" from the floor and about 20" from the wall with approximately 12" between the two roost bars.
It's ceiling includes LP Techshield - a radiant barrier that helps keep your coop cooler inside.

IMPORTANT: Please be sure to visit our Horizon Structures™ Options Page to see all of the different colors and options available. Here is a brief overview of the customizations and optional accessories available for the Dutch Coop:
Roof Type: Choose from shingles or metal in a variety of colors or a cedar shake roof.
Siding Type: Choose from LP Smartside® Siding (with or without paint), Board & Batten (with or without stain) and Tongue & Groove (with or without stain).
Wheels: You can make your chicken a portable "tractor" by adding a set of 4 wheels to it. The 4 wheel option gives you steering handle to pull and steer your coop with.
Floor Type: Choose from wood, Glasbord or Epoxy floors.
Chicken Run: Give you chickens room to exercise and enjoy the outdoors with a 4' W x 7' L x 3' H chicken run.
PLEASE NOTE: Drivers are not equipped to assemble your chicken run. Putting it together is your responsibility.
More Options: Add additional items such as an automatic chicken door, an electrical or solar package, heating, lights and timers, a coop cleaning tray, a waterer and feeder.
PLEASE NOTE: Because these are special order custom built Coops, once the construction has started cancelling an order will result in an 80% cancellation fee.
Important note about residential deliveries:
All Horizon Structures™ Chicken Coops are custom made and pre-built, meaning there is no assembly required on your part (Note: Chicken Runs ARE NOT pre-built so you do have a minimal amount of effort assembling those). The trucks back up to your prepared site and place the coop precisely where you want it.
Horizon Structures™ uses an F550-type truck. Their trailers range from 24' - 48' in size giving them the flexibility to transport several pre-built coops and a variety of add-ons.
The normal delivery process works like this:
In order to deliver the coop, please ensure that your coop site is accessible:
IMPORTANT: If your site does not meet those requirements, Horizon Structures™ still may be able to deliver as long as they know ahead of time to equip the truck with their "Mule Delivery System". Please call us if you are in doubt!
Here's how it works:
If you are at all unsure whether or not the truck and trailer will have suitable access to your property, we ask that you call Horizons Structures™ directly at 1-888-44-SHEDS to discuss the details with their scheduler. You can also email pictures or fax them a diagram (with measurements) of your property showing the layout and features of your site. They are usually able to make a determination about whether or not delivery is feasible or if you should have your structure built on-site.
Please review the Shipping & Returns tab, above, for further information regarding your Horizon Structures™ chicken coop shipment, such as how deliveries are scheduled.

Because all Horizon Structures™ coops are custom made, they typically take approximately 4 weeks to ship (sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit shorter). Please be sure that you read the Special Note About Residential Deliveries in the main product description.
Deliveries are normally made Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm. While it is difficult to give an exact time, Horizon Structures™ can usually tell you if your building will be arriving in the morning or the afternoon.
There are several ways to schedule your delivery:
- You can request "delivery as soon as possible" and Horizon Structures™ will contact you a few days prior to delivery to confirm a suitable date and get directions to your property. PLEASE NOTE: This is the default delivery option and unless we hear from you otherwise, this is how delivery will be handled.
- You can request a specific date. Sometimes Horizon Structures™ is able to commit shortly after time of order; however, they may call you closer to the requested date to confirm.
- If you are having your site prepared, you can leave the delivery date "open" and give us a call when you are ready to schedule. At that time, we can usually arrange delivery within about 7-10 days.
Horizon Structures™ reserves the right to reschedule deliveries due to inclement weather or periods of extended rain in order to avoid endangering our drivers and equipment or damaging your building or property. Please call Horizon Structures™ directly at 1-888-44-SHEDS to reschedule delivery if your ground is soft and you believe their truck and trailer would damage your property or make delivery exceptionally difficult for the driver.
You are responsible for reading emails we may send to you in a timely manner. We cannot be held responsible for emails that we sent that were not read on time or for delays to orders because we have not received a reply. In some cases, we may have no other choice but to use our best judgment if our emails are not answered and we will not be held responsible for orders that are incomplete, incorrect or canceled due to lack of response on your part.
Due to the nature of their products (custom, built-to-order), returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. In most cases, it is not feasible to return pre-built structures. Horizon Structures, LLC will make every reasonable attempt to repair or replace product or compensate customers who are dissatisfied with their purchase.
Customers are expected to notify Horizon Structures, LLC of any issues within 24 hours of receipt of building. Final determination is at the discretion of the owner of Horizon Structures, LLC and shall not exceed the retail value of the structure at time of purchase.
Restocking Fee Policy
Returnable Items are defined as any hardware or accessory purchased separately and not part of a pre-built structure or kit.
Defective Returnable Items will be replaced at no charge. Otherwise, a 20% restocking fee will be charged based on the retail value of the Returnable Item(s) at time of purchase. Customers are expected to notify Horizon Structures, LLC of any defects and return defective items within 30 days.
Our original freight and shipping expenses are not refundable or included in the restocking fee. These fees will be deducted from any return - even if you obtained "free shipping". In other words, shipping is only free for products that customers keep.
